Art Exhibitions

If you are a visual artist and would like to be part of the 2 Worlds Festival then we would love to invite you to submit your artistic work to be displayed in the UBU Gallery at The Fyansford Paper Mills. This location is well on the way to becoming a unique arts precinct and has some beautiful spaces that are currently being repurposed as galleries, studios and workshops.

The theme for the exhibition is ‘Walking in Two Worlds’. If you have some existing works or if you are able to produce something along the lines of this theme, we would be delighted to include it in this exhibition. Art pieces need to be submitted to Marcus Johnson at Ubu Gallery by Thursday 31 August, 2017. Works need to be collected by Tuesday, 19 September.

The ‘Walking in Two Worlds’ exhibition will open on Saturday September 2nd and will remain open until Sunday September 17th.

The artist will receive 50% of sales, the gallery 30% and 20% will go to the Marrma’ Rom Two Worlds Foundation.

If you are interested in submitting a piece of art please email Marcus at marcus@ubugallery.com.au

UBU Gallery is at 9/100 Lower Paper Mills Road, Fyansford. If you get lost or need information, call Marcus Johnson on 0407770092. Please join us on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/ubugalleryfyansford or look for us on Instagram under ubugallery.com.au

If you are musician that would like to showcase your talents, there will be a Buskers Stage at the 2 Worlds Festival. There are limited time slots so there is an application process. You will need to provide all your own equipment including leads etc. It will be an amplified stage. Sets will be 20 minutes and there are 16 time slots available.

Successful applicants will be given a small payment for your performance rather than actual busking, and you’ll also get free entry. This is a chance for 16 more talented musicians from the Geelong region to become involved in the 2 Worlds Festival. There will be an ‘Emerging Artist Award” given out and the winner will be given the chance to perform at the 2 Worlds Festival 2018.

Remember, this is a licensed event, so people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

If you are interested in applying to perform as a busker you need to email Cam at info@2worldsfestival.org.au

It’s a simple application, all you need to do is include in your email:

  • Name / Band Name
  • Youtube clip and/or mp3 of a recording
  • Very short bio (50 words)
