Got a question? Browse our FAQ’s or contact us if you can’t find your answer here.

Is there public transport to the venue?

Yes. The best way to get there is via public transport. Catch a train or tram to Flinders St station and it is a short walk from there past Federation Square. It’s a beautiful walk along the Yarra River.

Will it be possible to get a taxi?

There is a taxi rank outside of Flinders Street Station. This is opposite Fed Square and it would be the best option and most convenient pick up place for a taxi or Uber.

How do I get there?

The best way to get there is to catch a train to Flinders St Station. It is a short 5 minute walk past Federation Square and ArtPlay. For Regional areas, catch a train or coach to Southern Cross and make your way around on a train to Flinders St Station.

Is there seating? Should I bring a chair?

NO there will be no seating. Small, low festival chairs will be allowed in front of the performance areas. If you bring a high camping chair you will need to sit to the sides or towards the back areas. Dancing will be encouraged so make sure you are ready to get out of your chair and have a lot of fun!

Where will I park?

There is a multi storey car park next to Federation Square. Other options for parking will be at the Arts Centre or around the CBD area. Best option for travel would be to catch a train to Flinders Street and walk to Birrarung Marr – a short 5 minute walk.

Will there be a merchandise tent or anything available to purchase?

YES there will be a merchandise tent at the event. Artists that choose to sell their merchandise will do so at the Merch Tent. Again this will be cashless so you will need a card to purchase.

Yes it is very much a kid friendly event. Adults need to keep in mind it is a licensed event and children must be accompanied at all times.

Do I need to pay for children?

U/12 children are free.  Children from 13-17 years can purchase a concession ticket but must be accompanied by an adult, not dropped at the gate.

Do I need to bring my printed ticket?

YES we prefer if you bring your printed ticket as it makes the entry process quicker and easier. However we can scan barcodes on mobile phones.

What happens if I’ve lost my ticket?

If you have lost your ticket go to https://www.trybooking.com/lost-tickets and enter the email address you bought the ticket with.

Can I BYO food and drinks?

NO this isn’t a BYO event. There will be plenty of great food vans available for you to purchase food. Please bring a re-usable water bottle as we are working hard to be environmentally friendly and cut out plastics. There will be a water station to fill up your water bottles.

2WF STATEMENT – Current situation in regards to COVID-19

Is 2 Worlds Festival going ahead this Saturday 14th March?

We know there’s a lot of concern, a sense of fear and almost a feeling of impending doom around COVID-19.

What we also know is that something magical happens when people come together with a shared goal. We saw this just a few months ago as the nation came together to give to those affected by the bushfires.

This is why 2WF will still be going ahead on Saturday.

For those coming along the standard precautions apply, avoiding touching your face and thorough hand-washing for 20 seconds. The chorus of Xavier Rudd’s latest single Honeymoon Bay is the perfect length.

If you cough or sneeze, please cover your mouth and nose. If you don’t have a tissue, use the crook of your elbow.

For those experiencing any symptoms, please take it seriously and call the hotline for advice.

For all others, we look forward to welcoming you this Saturday and celebrating through the things that bring us together: music, food, culture and art.

  • I think diversity on the bill is great; I think with all the conversations going on about diversity on a bill, be it gender or cultural diversity, but I also think a musical diversity like some hip hop over here and some Death Metal over here and some punk rock here, electronic dance music here; That is what I like about festivals. I played the 2 Worlds Festival in Geelong the other week. The intent was to bring indigenous artists and non-indigenous artists together and that was about the best festival I have played in 30 years, it was amazing. It was really wonderful. I think it is all about looking after the folks that are there, not just throwing a couple of thousand people into a field and expecting them to enjoy it.

  • Very welcoming and inclusive. People there more for the music than the intoxication. The location and the chilled vibe from the staff/no heavy police or security presence and yet no trouble from the patrons.

  • There is a connection amongst festival goers who are drawn to the type of music on offer, with a strong indigenous centre, that creates a feeling of being with like-minded, friendly people.
