Wadeye Journey Men Project

‘Journey Men Project’ teaches life engagement in language, culture, knowledge and history. We invite young people to take the opportunity to learn a lot more than just music, to discover themselves on this journey and to understand the world of diversity and hardship. We bring solutions to the problems and send a message to the nation through music by showing action.

Dallas Mugarra, from the community of Wadeye, started playing music when he was 9 and it has been his passion ever since. “Music helped me open my eyes to a whole new world. It made me realise that I want to help my community, and show my people what I’ve learnt from music”. Dallas works with the Thamarrurr Youth Program in Bright, north-east Victoria.
