The Didge Circle
One Instrument, One Culture: Shared and Respected
The Didge Circle provides opportunity for like-minded people to focus on all aspects associated with the playing of didgeridoo, while recognising and understanding its cultural significance, heritage and standing in Indigenous Australia.
The Didge Circle acknowledges and promotes the traditional owners of the Yidaki (Didgeridoo), the Yolngu people from NE Arnhem Land, the custodians of the Didgeridoo and the senior Yolngu Elders. A key objective is to embrace diversity through the cultural linkage that exists between the Didgeridoo, an Australian Icon, the Yolngu custodians of the instrument and thetraditional owners of this country, the local Indigenous communities.
